Setting up a MyCitadel account is a simple process, though it can take a few days to complete, depending on the identity verification method you choose.

1. Visit the MyCitadel web site and choose to Sign Up a New Account. You will first be asked to provide your email address. Then choose a password, select your country of residence and preferred currency. Then enter the Turing number (Captcha) from the image. Be sure to enter it exactly as it appears in the image (including capitalization). Press ìNextî.

2. The next step is email verification. You will be sent an email address with a link. Click this link (or copy/paste into a browser) to activate your new account.

3. Now you'll need to enter some personal information, including your name, address, phone number, date of birth, etc.

4. The final step of account set-up is to confirm your identity. You have one of three options. You can 1) submit a copy of a photo ID (passport, drivers license or national photo ID), 2) submit a copy of a non-photo ID, which must include one government issued document (with name and address included) plus one other official document containing your name and address (bank statement, utility bill, etc.), or 3) MyCitadel will send you a letter in the mail with a validation code. When you receive this letter, log onto MyCitadel and enter the validation code. Note that you will still be able to use your MyCitadel account before verified, but your limits will be much lower.

5. At this point you can start funding your MyCitadel account. Visit the deposit page and choose the method of payment you wish to use. If using a bank account, you will need to submit the details of your bank and checking account - Bank name, your account number, Swift/IBAN# (the bank's routing number), bank address. Enter the required details and submit the transfer. Note that most deposits generally take 1-5 days to be processed into your MyCitadel account. To speed this up, click the ìClear Nowî option.
